Conservatives say NHyes

Flintshire Conservatives took to the streets on Saturday to call for people to get in their response to the Flint Hospital Consultation. Delivering over 2000 leaflets into peoples homes they highlighted the closures facing Flint and Prestatyn Community Hospitals and the closure of the specialist eye unit at St Asaph used by many Flintshire residents. Speaking on the doorstep Antoinette Sandbach said "Flint residents can not understand why Flintshire County Council refused to sponsor 10 social care beds at Flint hospital. Flintshire residents are being placed into care homes outside the county, miles away from their families. By shutting out this option the Labour Executive knew they were passing a death sentence on Flint Cottage. We are out fighting for beds to be retained and the Labour Council should play their part in retaining beds in Flint".
