Sandbach in Delyn!

Antoinette Sandbach is the candidate fighting the national assembly seat next year.

Antoinette was a legal aid barrister for 11 years. She lives at Llangernyw with her daughter, where her family have farmed for generations. Her daughter goes to the local Welsh School. Antoinette has a Masters Degree in Environmental Law and Humanitarian Law (the Geneva Conventions designed to protect the victims of War).

Antoinette believes in a fair distribution of funds from the Assembly - North Wales does NOT receive its fair share of funding.

The Health service has suffered from re organisation after re organisation which has seen £20.2 million wasted on bureaucracy in Wales since 1999. Neither Sandy Mewies nor any other elected Labour Coucillor has objected to the closure of Holywell Cottage Hospital Minor injuries unit or in patient facilities. Labour claim because the "out patient" and x ray facilities will remain open this hospital has not been closed - more Labour spin but the residents of Holywell know the truth.

Education in Flintshire is the lowest funded in Wales - in the primary sector and second lowest in secondary education. Flintshire County Council slashed education funding just after Sandy Mewies was elected. Labour wanted to introduce top up fees for Welsh students studying in Wales - this was defeated by the Conservatives - so Welsh students at Northop Horticultural College, Deeside and Bangor do not have to service the same level of debt thanks to the Conservatives.

The Conservatives economy manifesto will help working families with family friendly policies.

Housing in Flintshire is in a mess. The County Council has seen a number of officers suspended or resign as a result of Labour's mismanagement...Labour can not be trusted. Homelessness is soaring and Labour's policy of removing direct payment of housing benefit to Landlords has seen those on low incomes struggle to find accomodation.

The Chief Constable of North Wales has warned that Council tax for policing will have to rise from 5% to 11% as a result of Labour's policy of giving £27 per person MORE to the SOUTH WALES police than to North Wales....if Council Tax does not rise 120 Community Police will be lost. Labour has shown they do not know how to tackle crime - their solution NOT fair funding but COUNCIL TAX RISES or job losses.
