Flintshire Fesitval of Sport

Over 800 pupils from across Flintshire met at Deeside College to compete in a variety of disciplines. Antoinette Sandbach Conservative parliamentary candidate joined Gingerbread/One parent families at the event to promote the advice the charity can offer to loan parents. The stall had information and details on where and how to access advice in the event of family breakdown. Tesco's had kindly donated Gingerbread men to hand out to the children taking part in the events that day, gingerbread children were donated by Antoinette. A lone parent herself Antoinette said "Gingerbread/One parent families can provide valuable advice and support to lone parents. Many families are struggling at the moment and the Citizen's Advice Bureau identifies debt as one of the major causes of family breakdown. It is vital that support can be accessed by lone parents and I was delighted not only to be able to see pupils from across Flintshire compete, but also to promote the services of Gingerbread/One parent families"
