Rising Fuel Poverty

Antoinette Sandbach Delyn Parliamentary Candidate has expressed concern that fuel price hikes will lead to a huge increase in Fuel Poverty in Flintshire.

Antoinette said "Those on low and fixed incomes are going to suffer most from recent fuel price hikes. I am particularly concerned of the impact of those living in rural areas, with heating oil now costing in the region of 68 pence per litre, those in fuel poverty will face the choice of "heat or eat" this winter.

The situation will be particularly bad for those in rural areas who are required to heat their homes with oil and can not switch to other providers. The Government has failed to address energy storage and provision over the last ten years, and all of us are now paying the price for their failure".
