Flintshire based Kingspan today hosted a visit for a team of Conservatives including Shadow Cabinet Minister Francis Maude MP, European Candidate Evan Price and Antoinette Sandbach Parliamentary candidate for Delyn. The Kingspan factory based in Holywell are the European market leader in insulated panels for non domestic building stock. Having been hit hard by recent economic conditions Kingspan were talking to the Conservative Team about policies which could help secure jobs in Flintshire.

Francis Maude MP said “I am delighted to be able to visit Kingspan and see the excellent products which are manufactured here in Flintshire. I am particularly impressed by the opportunities for reducing carbon emissions and the potential energy savings which products like those made by Kingspan can achieve. I am delighted that Kingspan are going to have further talks with the Shadow Secretary for Energy and Climate Change Greg Clark MP later this week.”

Antoinette Sandbach said “It is vital that the Government acts now to include insulation panels manufactured by companies such as Kingspan in the enhanced capital allowance scheme, this will provide real help to businesses in terms of energy savings and will help secure jobs at the factory here in Flintshire. With the Governments so called green agenda I can not understand why they have failed to act on this issue for so long.”
