Greenfield Community Centre hosts launch of European Manifesto

Greenfield Community Centre was the location for the launch of the Conservative European Manifesto.  Shadow Secretary of State Cheryl Gillan MP and Shadow Europe Minister Mark Francois came to Delyn together with European Candidates Dr Kay Swinburne and Evan Price to launch the manifesto and talk to local people about european issues which affect them.

Mark Francois MP said that it was necessary to "hold a failed and failing Government to account" and urged people to campaign for an early General Election.  Mr Francois pointed out how Labour was seeking to dictate to people who were struggling in the current economic climate how many hours a person choses to work.  The Conservatives oppose the implimentation of the European Working Time Directive which will limit the amount of hours an individual can work, putting under threat the voluntary fire service run in Flintshire.

Cheryl Gillan told those present that  "In Flintshire, in Westminster and in Europe Labour's incompetence had let people down, describing how all Conservative Candidates had pledged to cut the cost of politics, deliver more for less in Europe and represent Britain's interests in Europe."
