Cutting Waste and improving frontline services

More money is being spent on debt interest payments than on schools - thanks to Labour's debt crisis

The Department of Transport spent £121 Million on an IT scheme which will save just £40 million (source Public Accounts Committee 16th December 2008)

NHS hospitals are paying up to £160 per hour for agency managers and £130 per hour for agency nurses.  Source (Freedom of information act reply to Conservatives).

Ministry of Defence Office refurbishment - £2.3 billion is to be spent on refurbishing London offices to include Plasma screens, a gym and quiets room for staff.

Conservatives would make taxpayers money deliver value for money and would make sure programmes like Sure Start, free bus passes and more police on the streets are a priority.
