Flintshire's unemployment is the worst in Wales

Unemployment figures recently released show that unemployment is rising faster in Flintshire than in any other part of Wales. The Evening Leader reported the figures showing that 2000 people had lost their jobs in the last year.

Local Conservative Parliamentary candidate Antoinette Sandbach said

"the figures show that the recession is hitting the local flintshire economy, these numbers mean that 2000 families in flintshire are really suffering.

The Conservative party have clear policies to help reduce unemployment - like cutting the cost of national insurance contributions, a loan guarantee scheme to help business get credit when the banks wont lend.

We would also like to see businesses with a rateable value of less that £15,000 be exempted from rates altogether. It is time for change as the sound bite politics of Labour is not working".
