The Delyn Association has campaigned on a number of issues
We fought to retain our post offices. More than 5000 post offices have been closed under Labour with the Local Labour MP voting for closure.
Stealth taxes have increased under Labour. We believe that Conservatives can deliver better value for money and cut waste. Last year the Ministry of Justice had 24 full time press officers, costing the taxpayer more than £5000 per press release issued for "Labour Spin". Over £12 billion has been wasted on an NHS computer that is over budget and doesnt work properly.
Each child now born will have to pay back over £22,000 of Government debt yet £12.5 billion was wasted on a VAT cut. It is time for sensible policies to tackle huge job losses. We are campaigning for a cut in National insurance contributions so that employers can afford to keep more jobs in hard economic times. We are also campaigning for a National Loan Guarantee scheme of £50 billion to help employers who are in a stranglehold because Banks are refusing credit. This will support and protect jobs in Delyn.
We need welfare reform to encourage those who have been on benefits for too long to get work, and valuable work experience giving them the confidence to get back on their feet.
Labour's Welsh Assembly Government has an unfair funding bias which means that North Wales receives less that South Wales on a regular basis. The North Wales police receive £25 per person less than in South Wales, whilst policing an area nearly twice as large. We want to tackle antisocial behaviour and crime which affects communities throughout Delyn. Join our campaign for "Fair Funding". Recent Education allocation of more than £70 million saw just £1.5 million coming to North Wales , Antoinette Sandbach has highlighted this in the "Fair Funding" campaign.
We would help pensioners by increasing the tax threshold to £11,000.
We are campaigning to abolish costly Home information packs which are universally condemned as a waste of time and money.
We welcome anyone who may be interested in joining the Delyn Conservatives - get involved and help fight for what matters in Delyn.
