Antoinette Sandbach Delyn Parliamentary Candidate
Antoinette's family have lived in Wales for generations, and her daughter studies at a Welsh medium school. Antoinette worked for all her career as a legal aid barrister speaking up for those who were unable to afford a lawyer. Antoinette wants to use her skills and experience to listen and fight for the interests of people in Delyn.
Antoinette came to be a barrister having studied at Nottingham Univesity where she did a law degree going on to get a Masters Degree in Environmental Law and International Law. A single parent she understands the pressures on those who are trying to provide the best for their children and juggling their responsibilities, often with limited resources. Having represented many people who can not read or write she knows that education gives people choices, by introducing tuition fees Labour has placed a huge financial burden on young people just starting out in their lives.  Antoinette has also seen first hand the impact of crime and anti social behaviour.
Antoinette has spent the last three years helping advise people on problems with Tax Credits, Housing, Child support and a wide range of other issues, she also works on the family farm. A director of the Charity the Benefit Advice Shop she has her feet on the ground and understands the problems facing people in Delyn.  Antoinette can use and does use this experience in Delyn.
Antoinette fought the Welsh Assembly Elections in 2007 and lost by only 511 votes. Antoinette has fought hard for local people in Delyn, holding Labour to account for their false promises, an unfair bias to the Labour heartlands in South Wales when it comes to funding and their dismal record on education, the NHS and Crime. Hardworking families and those who have saved all their lives are being punished by Labour's ever increasing tax burden and debts - with little to show for it in return. Jobs are being lost because of the burden of regulation in the UK and bad economic policies.  Rising Council Tax and fuel costs have hit those on low incomes and fixed incomes the hardest. Labour has failed to deliver time and again and is a tired party, with failing policies. Its time for a change.............
